Currently using some Dulux gloss enamel on mdf. I'm just applying with a brush and getting reasonable results on flat horizontal surfaces (vertical I am having some issues with runs). Problem I have just started having however is the can developed a little bit of "skin" around the edges inside and got stirred through the remaining paint in the can. So now I keep getting little specs showing up as I paint a surface. I have seen paper filter cones used by spray painters- but I think this is usually with heavily thinned paints. This gloss enamel is very thick. Do people ever filter this stuff without thinning? What do you use and where do you get it from? I have doubts that this would flow through paper.
