Here's a deck I built around our above ground pool. The pool it's self is 30' (9M) diameter. The deck is 40' x 48' (12M x 14.63M). It's Eastern Red Cedar that I cut off the stump in the woods (two full tractor trailers full of logs). I cut all the lumber with my woodmizer sawmill, dried it in my kiln and milled it to dimension my shop. This is my first deck project from standing tree to finished product. I then beat it together with hammer and nails and screws (no nail gun). The deck was 2 1/2 years in the making and I finally finished all the farming last week. I started on the staining and should be done this weekend (weather permitting). In the picture you'll notice some of the cedar has turned gray. I bleached the entire deck to make the new and old wood match before I stained. I'll be sure and post a pic when I'm 100% done.
