Powder Coating MDF

I am powder coating metal parts and am impressed with the results and effects possible. I know it is possible to powder coat MDF but all of the articles I've read about it refer to large commercial facilities. Has anyone here tried it or can refer to a source of information directed to the small home shop level?

Obviously I could just grab some MDF and experiment, however I've heard MDF is not as easy to coat as metals due to the low thermal conductivity of the wood and poor results are typically obtained with standard convection ovens.
