Making wood crack filler

Just finished sanding my new floor and I saved some of the finest sanding dust. I thought if I could make a wood putty using the dust, the result will be

1. Same color as the wood
2. darken at the same rate and always stay in color.

the problem is, how to make a putty/paste that is suitable? Anyone with a recipe? A crack filler that stays slightly soft like that acrylic crack filler is probably best since the wood will move and spit the crack filler out over time if it becomes rigid.

Any advice?

I think a similar thing has been discussed before.

From memory, you need to use nitrocelulose (sp) to mix with the sawdaust.

Try doing a search after you find out how to spell nitrocelulose :p
