Getting advice on renovating possibilities (Adelaide)

Hi all,

Newbie here. Looking for some recommendations, if possible, on who it might be good to speak to to assist with making the best decisions re renovating.

We have an older house in Adelaide that has potential, but we're in two minds about whether or not to make the kitchen/lounge one big living area (taking into account what walls we might not be able to move), or alternatively the kitchen/family room (the three room are basically lined up with the kitchen in the middle). We spend the most time currently in the lounge area.

Anyway, not sure who we should speak to to get some fresh ideas - a builder, interior decorator, draftsperson etc. and comments/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!
