I need some new Blunstones.

Both pairs I have are nearly smooth in the bottom.:doh: Anyone know a good place in Melbourne South East that has a good selection? (Or a warehouse full of old made in Australia Blunstons? :saddest: ) I need Size 5s. I went to one place that only had 2 pairs. One boot was OK! but the other three were weird.:rolleyes: My theory is that if I go to a big enough place I can ferret out 2 OK ones. :C

I know some people say Redbacks are better, but I feel they are a bit clumpy. Maybe I could try Rossi? :shrug: I have a pair of steel caps as well. These are just for everyday wear.:cool:

I'm sure you could carve yourself a pair of clogs which would be infinitely more appropriate.

TL try a farmers shop like Elders, Landmark or one like that.
Have no idea where they are near you.

You must have weirdly shaped feet TL. Blunnies are the worst things I evr tried to put on my feet.

Another Aussie product funded by taxpays $$$ and government incentive to go to China so come to expect two left feet, one size 6 one size 8, laces either to short or to long.

Try Wrights Work Wear (there is one in Hallam). They have a good selection of most of the major brands.

Can you get a decent sole put back on 'em? Kinda like a retread tyre?? Don't know if the replacements would be as tough (work well enough for my shiny office shoes :D)

Wrights Workwear in East Ringwood. :2tsup: I'll swear by Blunstones, sadly though they're now made in China.

Well actually they're Rossi slip-ons. :U She says they're very comfy once worn in.

She works as a cook and needs the oil resistant soles because the floors can get a bit slippery. They are tough, fairly light in weight, have good wear resistance and they're made in Australia.

I wear Japanese safety boots 90% of the time so what would I know?

My current 'work boots' are a pair of slip-on suede slippers, but when I did wear proper footwear, I virtually lived in Blundies.

My Blundstones have worn out after 10 years, and Payless (where I bought originally) no longer carry style 350, nor any other style in 6 1/2.

So, I emailed Blundstone, and the next day they gave me two local businesses who carry or can order the full range.

BTW, one of the FAQ's on their website is "Can I get my Blundstones resoled?"
My uppers are fine, just sole has worn out. Unfortunately, the soles are injected PU, and can't be resoled.

Yes! I've read that too. B(&%$^! My second pair I bought for $15 from a market. I'm fairly sure they were resoled cos they came off very quickly.:doh:

Its all very well to order them on line, but the ones I tried on only had a 25% OK success rate. I want to go somewhere and get a good pair.:cool:
