macdonald jones house advice

Hello all
my wife has picked her house,(grand manor) on display at lochinvar in the hunter valley.the big issue is frame,they push the steel frame were as i like timber frame
call me old fashioned but it seems better
we were going for a tin roof but have decided to go for tiled unless she changes her mind again:rolleyes:
could i have some opinions on steel and wood frames please also tin and tiles for the roof

ps we were going to renovate but its heaps cheaper building a new home and give the old one away if anyone wants it or demolish it
