Builder recommendations in ACT

We are looking to do some extensions including remodelling the main bedroom that will involve removing an external wall and enlarging the ensuite, and enclosing a large pergola area to make it a sunroom. Our house is a standard 1980s split level brick veneer and tile in the ACT. We've already had one very simple estimate over the phone and I nearly fell off my chair. Can anyone recommend good builders in the ACT we can contact to get some more estimates?

I've noticed a lot of websites talk about a cost per square metre for building which is usually $1000 to $2000. The Archicentre Cost Guide quotes $989 to $1693. This seems to be misleading as there appears to be many more costs involved. Can anyone give me a realistic idea of what, say a 35 square metre extension should roughly cost per square metre if we are using most of three existing walls?
