Draftsman / Building Designer needs some info

Hello, I didn't know where else to post this question but here it is:

I've been working as a Draftsman / Building Designer now for around 5 years, over which i've worked with 3 companys.

I have a friend that is looking to looking to procure my services on the side but I'm not a member of the "builders practitioners board", or a member of the "building designers assosication of victoria" nor a member of any other assosciation for that fact.

Am I leagally allowed to produce drawings for my friend on the side? Am I allowed to produce the drawings then get the builder to sign off on them? Or is there another way around this without becoming a member of an association?
