Extra bedroom alternative

Hi yall

The stork will be arriving soon with yet another lil dazzler so within the next 12months a new bedroom will be needed. Only problem is I have a 15yo so the new bedroom will probably only be used for the next 4 to 6 years as the 15yo will eventually (please god) move out so spending 30 - 40k on an extension may be a waste.

Now at the expense of sounding like cletus from the ozarks I was thinking this may work.......

I need a new shed/garage. Was looking at a 6mx9mx2.4ish one. Now it would be pretty simple to make it a 6 x 12 and use the last 3m as a new room for the 15yo lined and carpeted etc.

Then I got to thinking that perhaps I could buy a caravan, something like the Jayco expanda and park that in the last bay. That way the family can use it for holidays and if the oldest isnt coming then he can move back inside while we are away.

It gets a wee bit cool here in winter (around 0.c in winter but no colder) so thoughts on

a. could this work
b. would the bay need to be well insulated
c. what probs could you see
d. have you done this
