Bathroom tiling options

This is my bathroom, when I renovate it it will be tiled white, I'm after some opinions on how much to tile. As you can see the tile layout that's in there is staggered, would it look ok if I either tiled all the way up to the top of the window and all the way around at that height and left the small painted trim at the top or should I tile maybe half way up the wall or even the whole darn thing top to bottom.

I've never tiled before but I'll try anything once, well almost anything.

All opinions welcome.
