screwed little screw

Hi everyone, hoping you might be able to help with this one. I have just completed my deck, I will send photos through soon. Towards the end of laying the merbau decking of which I screwed down using type 17 s/s screws I had 4 screws which the head of the screw rounded out. I was able to get 2 of the screws out with pliers but the other 2 were too far in to get a decent grip with the pliers. Any thoughts on how to get out without damaging the board & the joist?
