Decking Specifiaction 1684

Hi
I put a proposal to put a new deck and patio.
I have just had a vist from council that say the deck need to be build to AS1684 for bearer and joist spacing as well as support locations. I don't wish to pay to buy the whole standard for one deck

Can anyone tell me teh spacings required. The Bearers and joist will be hardwood. with a Merbau or other hardwood deck.

Please help - can't find much on te internet unless they are paid for (not cheaply)
