Getting paint off brass

Hey guys,

My picket fence is almost done, now i've removed the letter box which has a brass letter flap as well as a brass newspaper hole, both were left on when the orignal owner painted the fence. There is paint all over it.

whats the best way to get it off and get the brass sexy again!?
