Mosaic adhesive

I'm trying to make a mosaic snake, from broken plates, etc, about 3 1/2 metres in length which I iwill attach to a strip of shadecloth and then wind around a dead tree in the garden. What adhesive would you suggest for attaching the ceramics to the shadecloth?

:? To shade cloth? :think: You could try silicon. :shrug: I guess it would be a bit like the sheets of small tiles you get with the backing on them making them a square to glue down. I think a better bet would be to glue them directly to the tree.
