Mark CH's novice deck

<div>Well, it’s about time I posted something detailing what I have done rather than just asking questions of others! First off, thanks to all the posters who have provided direct and indirect advice in relation to my build, your information has been invaluable for a novice like me!

The first photo below shows the area where I’ve built the deck. You can’t really see from the photo but there is a significant slope on the ground which made the area relatively unusable for us. It’s out our back door and gets lots of sun, hence the clothes horse, however the 2 ½ steps made it a pain in the proverbial to lug washing up and down from the house.
