Merbau to tiles........

I have built a Merbau deck free standing in front of my house and it joins a balkony which is tiled. My next job is to bring the deck over the tiles to the house so it looks like one deck. The hight difference is about 12mm( plus decking), the tiles are lower by that. My plan is to reduce the Merbau thickness to 12 mm and glue strips to the tiles and the decking( 19mm) to the strips. I played with Epoxy Glues and believe that would be the way to glue the strips to the tiles and the decking to the strips.The other plan is to use Sikaflex instead of two pack epoxy glue.
I would love to hear what others think of my way of attack.
