Bedroom Double Door

Hi guys i need some advice !

i want to install a double door to the bedroom, one 820 wide and one 640 wide panels. my question is what happens at the centre ? we want to have the 640 panel fixed with a shoot bolt top and bottom and use the 820 wide panel but can open both at any time.
do i have to rebate the fixed panel at the centre or make some sot of batten to cover the gap ?

i have hollow core doors.
