new kitchen plan - PVC door edge 1 or 2mm

:? I have signed up for a new kitchen, fino creme (by Egger) melamine doors with PVC edging and can have 1 0r 2mm PVC edge although they normally do 1mm.
What are the pros and cons for each please?:)
