Sorry Ralphie, I just can't picture this. Do you mean a sloping gable END? - I've never seen one of these, or do you mean the raked soffit that flys past the gable end?

What I am meaning is when the rake of the gable comes down to the front and back soffet. What needs to be done to make it look right?

I think you're talking about where the eave sheet butts into the bottom corner of the gable end. There's a right angle join between the eave sheet and the gable sheet. I don't know the traditional or correct way of dealing with that but I just fixed a bit of 2x1 that ran the width of the gable between the facsia on either side with a groove to take the eave sheet.

The front and back soffet are level and are boxed on the ends of the house and when the gable slope meets the boxed end it stops, therefore the facia will be cut to fit the box, or a piece added on the bottom to blend in and look as if it were part of that box.
