I have a Vicmarc Lathes VL 850. I have no complaint's [ as I dont know any better ]
I have been turning for 5 months in 5 years. I would like to start making Pen's etc. I think I would be better with a smaller Lathes. Has any one got any suggestions. [ now that is a silly Question ]

G'day Smithy and welcome to the show. Good to have you here.:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:
That lathe will be fine for turning anything from small to whatever size the swing over the bed is. Don't forget - you can turn small things on a big lathe but not big things on a small lathe.
Quarter Silky!! Nice!!:2tsup:
Welcome, certainly won't be touching that last statement, even if it is true.:whip:
I can get into enough trouble on my own - I'm not touching this thread
