Painting concrete floors

im pulling up some carpet at work, as im renting i dont want to invest to much money
the carpet is 25 years old and the owner doesnt care what i do whats a cheap way of Painting concrete Floors
Ive looked at the 2pac floor paints but they arnt cheap i need to cover around 50m2
could i use a oil or water based paint

any advice would be great
