ikea kick board & 2nd shorter mdf board -??

hi

First ever Kitchen reno... so ikea kickboard kit comes in to 2 parts - a kickboard and 2nd unlaminated shorter mdf(same length).

So what do I do with the 2nd unlaminated MDF? There is no instruction for the 2nd mdf... i think its to be attached to the wall to give the base cabinet additional support?
