Advice wanted with slabs/walls.

Just looking for some advice regarding slabs.

Recently, someone I work with dynabolted a wall down to a slab without checking to see it was level first. Turns out it was nearly 20 mms out of level across the distance (900mm) which in turn has caused us problems up above as you'd expect.

For future reference, I proposed the idea of marking out all walls on the slab, then checking the corners of all walls with a laser level (against the datum) and packing/grinding where necessary in order to ensure the ceiling will be the same level, but was told 'too slow/finicky'.

Is this a good method? What do others do in this situation?
