Ensuite under eaves - structural

Hi all

Wanting to put an ensuite on our place. It has wide 900mm eaves and on one wall there is a bathroom that utilises the space plus 600mm of a room to give a 1500mm wide bathroom. I imagine that they have pulled some of the wall frame and run a bearer across to support the ends of the trusses as well as some support from the new wall under the eaves.

Our current bedroom is like this;

I would like to put an ensuite in like this;

Utilising the under eaves area.

It would require removal of about of the robe and then sections of the walls at the corner for a distance of 2500mm one way and 750mm the other.

A support post could be placed where the 750mm wall has been removed and another support post at 45dg to this again about 750mm from the original corner. These could be joined with a beam as well.

Does that make sense?

Is it doable?

Any suggestions?
