Hi everybody. I just found this forum. Great place. :2tsup:
I was hoping you guys might be able to help me.
I came into work this morning and found a shipping container out the back. I opened it up and unpacked it, and found these items.
Does anyone here know a "Rob Allan"? I think I have some stuff of his.
Thanks in advance.

Brendan,
Yeah it's my neighbors. We've been looking for the crate for quite a while. It seems that the shipper is a bit dyslexic and put AUS on the crate instead of USA.
So just send the crate to me and I see that Rob Allan gets his stuff.

Oh......OK. Two Rob Allans. Rrich, I will need your address too, so I can send your neighbour an invoice.
There is a famous Australian song titled "Living Next Door to Allan", BTW.

Munga almost got it right - its not the name of an addressee, its an injunction to go out there and rob someone called Allen.
So all you blokes - if you know someone named Allen, get out there and rob him, then if you get caught, blame Felder :B

Yep. Rob is out breaking in his new Hilux on the Birdsville Track. I think. We're going to hold onto his toys until his shed is built, which should have been by now, except for those inconsiderate bastard bushfires over summer.

I FOUND HIM! Here is Rob Allan (http://www.woodworkforums.com/member.php?u=2221) . Apparently he has been a member of this BB for the past three and a half years, but only posted 23 times. Doesn't really seem to be one for conversation.....

Wow:U :U :U :U :U :U :U :U :U
My mate's brother just dropped in and he will be bringing his dozer around on Monday or Tuesday to level the dirt and to clear away some other stuff that's in the way.
I just can't wait to have a shed again and some new toys.
Tons of timber, we even burn blackwood up here the piddly and the split stuff.
Birdsville was great but there is lots of green vegetation and tons of water. You can't get to Poepell's corner from Birdsville because the Eyre Creek about 8 or 9 sandhills in from Big Red is 4 1/2 feet deep. We camped on it's banks. Normally we raise dust going through there.
Some pics from the Simpson.
The first one is on top of Big Red looking towards Birdsville
2nd pic shows how I need to hit Big Red with a few more revs.
3rd pic shows the sign at the White Cliffs Cemetery
I hope these new toys are as good as the LNs Brendan,:U
I'll let you know when the shed is up Brendan.

Don't worry Zed, people have trouble finding our place - dadpad who lives up this way got lost in the driveway going home one night when he visited the previous owner!:oo:
I'll have a BBQ when the new shed is up and running for those who are interested.

This evening Meg had just slipped some money into my wallet and I was about to have a quiet one or two down at the Tolmie Tavern when I heard the sounds of a big low loader pulling up near our driveway.
On the back of the low loader was a dozer.:2tsup:
Ten minutes later the dozer made it's way through a bit of bush (the front gate was too narrow) up to our driveway, past the house and a couple of hours later I have some clear ground for the new new shed.
There were a few large rocks and old stumps etc but they are now cleared.
We will probably have to truck in about 30 or 40 cubic metres of clay to level it all out and then the shed can be started.
I'll try and take some photos in the morning.

Is there no stopping this Wongo bloke. First he tries to steal my planes then he's spraying his tag on my machines.:~
Thanks Wongo for making the machine "shop soiled" as we previously agreed, your cunning ideas are very creative and of course lucrative for both of us.
I'll split the savings I make with you. Would you prefer the payment in cash or python poo?

I am so excited about the whole project, I walked down to the new shed site and took a photo of the dozer.
It didn't come out very well in the dark. It isn't the biggest dozer around but the blade is 12 feet wide and the bit on the front is a tree pusher.

:yippy: Whoo Hoo, New Shed, New Goodies!!
The bigger the earth clearing machine, the more fun it is to watch and the quicker the shed site gets cleared!!
Are you going to put an echidna door in your shed ? :D

You don't want a door. If you put in a door, you'll just be tempted to go in there and ruin projects :D
