Hi, am setting hyspan bearers onto timber stumps, interested to know how level they should be. Should they be within 2 or 3mm or is 5mm acceptable?
(150 x 63 bearers, 17 metres long, over 9 stumps)
Haven't bolted them yet as theres a slump of 4mm in one place and about 2 to 3 in another area. Thanks.

5mm over 17 m would be fine, but 5mm between stumps might be pushing it a little, 2-3 between stumps should be ok. (The better you can get it here, the less hassles later).

A mate of mine is a fussy builder.
he uses a dumpy to set his floors at all stages.

he realy likes to get 2 to 3 mm over the whole floor ( likes) if he cant get better than 5mm he gets all bitter and twisted.:C :~ :(( ........:D :D :D

then again i've been into places where you can feel it under your feet that you are walking up & down hills:no:

the flatter your floor the better everything else fits:D :D

cheers
