Last year the Pollies here in West Australia rushed legislation through to bring in day light saving. Previous referendums have always said NO. Now that we are all going and arriving home smack bang in the maximum heat of the day we are being told not to turn our aircons on until after 6pm due to power demands. Seems none of our wise men considered this issue when they went against the wishes of the people.

People always vote no at referendums, my theory is that because no one trusts a politician to tell the truth, its best to say No to whatever they're asking because they may have a hidden agenda.

Always vote no, and they'll never be able to slip something past you.

Except in some states in the US they word the referendums in bizarre ways so that a No vote actually supports the change, and to vote against it you ahve to vote yes.

Gotta love the pollies.

Dont forget now we have daylight savings miraculously there is more daylight in a day than before! Bah I love daylight savings all these people are kicking up a stink over nothing. Reminds of little children having a temper tantrum over nothing. It's only one hour geez.

This is all in preparation for the final stage of metrication in Australia, the metric year, 10 months = 1 year, all the names will be the same except Septober and Nocember.
100 seconds=1 minute....100 minutes = 1 hour and 10 hours = 1 day.
10 days to a week.
It is expected there will be some minor teething problems when this is introduced.
