my wife just bought a car and if i am good enough she will let me replace my car in 12 months,when we went looking for cars for her i fell in love with a 2000 supercharged v6 statesman and was wondering can you fit a lpg conversion on a supercharged car and how do they go

Don't know about supercharged sixes, but have had several eights (see my avatar!), some Statesman some SS on LPG, they perform beautifully. Personally don't like supercharged sixes in the Statesman, plenty of speed but no torque. Bit like the little rice burners!

LPG is the go though, particularly with the current bonus.

Had my current car done Feb 2006 (no bonus though!) and has now paid back initial installation, rest is all in the pocket and it is tax-free profit, gotta be happy with that.:U

i have only had 1 holden an old hk years ago but quite a few fords:rolleyes: the statesman seats are like arm chairs and are very comfortable its a nice car even the wife liked it which was unusual:D

have a lpg ford for 6 yrs the system works well and would like it in my next car but be careful as have been told that the holdens dont like the conversion the motors burn out faster one of the motoring writters had a article in a sunday paper on it a few months ago

the price of gas here is 81c a litre which annoys me as it creeps up every time petrol gose up yet never seems to fall down , dosent seem to be anyone that u can complain to nowdays that can do anything about it still its paid for itself since i had it in

also find systems not available for a lot of cars so what i would like to get as my next car there isnt a system for that model

Well, did 265000k in my Commodore SS V8 without touching it and 175000k in my Holden Statesman V8, again without touching it. The guy that bought it is still driving it and is up to 280000 and still hasn't touched it.
There is more crap talked about LPG in cars than about any other motoring subject. Have had LPG on all my cars since 1980 and have never had any maintenance problems that could be attributed to LPG.
LPG here in Bendigo is 46.9, petrol 115.9, so all those people that have a problem with LPG should stay with petrol.

In the meantime I keep driving my Holden on LPG and would be just as happy driving a Ford on LPG (I think:p). Have also had a Mitsubishi Pajero on LPG, and that was one sweet V6 motor.

I have an ed falcon the current motor has only been run on gas it has currently completed 900,000 ks without a problem, the car overall has put in 1.6 million ks.
