Years ago furniture retailers used to markup 50% on cost.
Since retirement I have lost track of markups and suspect they might now be a lot higher.
I would appreciate it greatly if you could either post or pm me typical current markups

Buy a million items from China, made from timber illegally logged, and add 500%. Call your store Hardly Normal. Post a $346m profit after tax. Take over the world.
That will make us sore.

50% would be the minimum, some are 100% mark-up...No wonder no one is selling anything, everything costs so much now.:(
China again.

I've talked to several dealers, most mark up 2~300% on imports and 50~100% on local or custom made gear.
