Firefox problem

Hi all,
I sold an ebook to a customer who uses firefox and hes having trouble downloading it. I think theres a hiccuup in his firefox as I can download it on my firefox and opera and IE6.

He said
"hi, i'm also using firefox but i can't get past the

Does the pw routine require javascript?

I'd check that he has it enabled (he probably has, but...) and whether he's running the NoScript plugin or similar.

Its a serverside pw, dunno if javascript is needed

The link worked for me. The password screen does not use JavaScript.

This is one of them computery things that is really gives ya the sheets. It appears to be on his end but without being able to look and touch, it's almost impossible to find out what is wrong.

Simple Bob, email him the bloody file. Seriously. If you're convinced he's paid for it, send it to him. Some idiots can screw up anything. And even if he hasn't paid for it, it's worth the risk rather than off a customer.

I did that with 2 of his ebooks, but the 3rd ebook is over 10-MB and email won't reliably handle big files like that. Some of my ebooks get up near 40MB so I had to set up a download site.

OK. Archive up the file with password encryption. Upload it to a file-sharer such as Rapidshare (http://rapidshare.de)

If using Rapidshare, you'll receive two links in return; the download link and a delete link.

Send him the download link to the file and the password. This requires an element of trust; that he won't distribute the two. But it's the same trust that he won't distribute the ebook in the first place. ;)

I believe that after 30 days with no download the file will be automagically deleted, but just to be safe you can use the delete link as soon as you know he has a copy... :D
