REturnfare was £15 plus tax. So I don't mind standing at that rate.

Sorry Driver, I forgot to thank you, at the time I was only a youngster, but your duty and that of many others made my life what it is today.

I can recall at that time we listened to the news reports daily of the missions and those who unfortunately did not return. They used to announce flights numbers out and their return.

If I have given you the impression that I had visited Berlin in 1941 (by air or any other means), please accept my apologies. That was not my intention. If you have a look to the left of this post, just under the picture of Captain Crabtree, you'll see my age. I wasn't even a twinkle in my Dad's eye in 1941!

(I have nothing but respect for the blokes who did, by the way. One of my uncles amongst them).

The problem with a cheap price is if they cancel the flight or bump me they don't have a great amount to refund:rolleyes:
