Hi,
I know Tony Delroy plays "Over The Rainbow" by Eva Cassidy(spelling?), but Eva is a she, I assume it is on the ABC playlist. She died a while ago now.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

I'm guessing you are chasing the beautiful Ukulele backed "Somewhere over the Rainbow/It's a Wonderful World" by "IZ" (Israel) Kamakawiwo`ole.
That's his name, Hawaiian ,he was about the size of a small elephant and died about ten years ago. The song's had a lot of play on ABC radio over the last three or four years, and Ukulele music just doesn't get any better. (unless you get a chance to see Jake Shimabukuro)
A google search on either will give you heaps of info, including album sales!
cheers,
P (I don't listen to television, I watch radio)

Somewhere Over the Rainbow has been covered by quite a few singers including Judy Garland ,Eva Cassidy and of course our own Billy Thorpe.I also remember Eva Cassidy doing a wonderful job of it Buzzer but is ptc saying that the version he heard is a male singer?

http://search.singingfish.com/sfw/home.jsp
and it is the version by: Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
I once did a google on him and found out he died some years ago and that THIS version is very popular around the world...

Hello ptc,I just had a look at the singing fish site that Brudda recommended and the song (Over the Rainbow) came straight up for me (as well as the other 326 available downloads)it must be a Very popular number as I reckon that there would be about the same or even more on the Altavista site.
