I'm a member of several international forums on a particular subject, not stated because you will lay crap on me, and apparently my expertise  has been noticed by a particularly prestigeous US forum. They have invited me to become a contributing member.

They have the usual lurkers, then they have members who are just registered lurkers, then they have contributing members. Even though I had been invited to become a contributor I still had to go through the full rigmarole, which consisted of reading the aims of the organisation, the rules of the forum (2 pages) and then fill out a questionaire to make sure I had read the rules and regs, then followed by an essay stating why they should accept me as a contributor, followed by a declaration that I would abide by the rules and regs.

I must admit I had to fight down the Termite so as to not tell them what I thought about this after being invited in.

To cut the story short, while reading the rules and regs I had to laugh, because I reccon that with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, yes 1 or 2, the members of this forum would last about 30 seconds. :D

I was wondering where I had to sing the Star Spangled Thingo, and swear to defend the Home Of the Rave.

On this forum we have virtually total freedom, this has just been brought home to me, and I will from here on in try not to abuse it. Well I'll try. :D

Mr. Termite,
I shall refrain from "laying it on you", in the interests of improving the general standards of the forum.
You are quite right to point to the deplorable standards and manners that exist on this forum and I shall henceforth endevour to mend my ways.
How Sir, I beg you, is that?

Naaaah... I bet its a Doll Making Forum... special "lifelike" Dolls too. :D

Clinton, sir, how could you imply that our respected Termite is a closet doll-diddler? A man of his many talents could, I'm sure, turn his hand to a wide range of cultural pursuits, such as flower arranging, lace-making or perhaps even ice-dancing (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Don't you worry about what everyone's saying about you Termite, it's probably not true.

Termite!

That's it isn't it? It's lace-making. It is - I'll bet it is! :D

You're Termite the Tatter, aren't you? Come on, Term me old mite. Tell us .... It is! It's lace-making. You've been secretly tatting away without letting on and now the Yanks have gone and awarded you some major lace-making gong: The Tennessee Triennial Tatting Trophy - or something equally prestigious. That's it, isn't it? :D

OK, seeing as so many of you want to know.
Very broadly speaking, the topic discussed on the forums concerns the effects of Candida milleri and its many variants, in combination with Lactobacillus sanfranciscencis and it's many variants, on various types and combinations of ground cereal products.

Both Candida and Lactobacillus occur naturaly in the air and on your skin and every day most, if not all, of you willingly shove the dead versions of these two down your throats.

Wongo, in many ways too good for me, but I like to eat more than sawdust, or more specifically supermarket "cotton wool". ;)

Ah, the dual purpose cousin of Candida, often appearing in commercial bakers yeast, but more commonly Brewers yeast. :D

Silent, are you far up in the hills enough for the manufacture of some "Mountain Dew' otherwise known as 'White Lightning". If they still grow that big white maize that they use to make corn flakes down that way, or even sweet corn, you have the makings of a bit of 'shine. :D

Lactobaccillus SanFranciscus?Studley
So named because it is only found in that area. Merely one of many many Lactobaccilus, the latest one was identified in 2002.

Lactobaccilus sanfranciscus is rather famous as it was the one that was taken to Alaska in the days of the Yukon gold rush, and the products made from it went on to make some of it's owners as rich as the more succesful miners.

A lot of hype goes on about it's unique flavour blah blah blah, I've got a 25 year old brew that I will put up against it any day. ;)
