My watercolour version of Torquay, Victoria, Australia.
A nice clean holiday resort but was the most expensive for overnight stays during our tour. A very moderate B&B rates asked more than the Holiday Inn at Sydney airport.

Good work jow104 ....
Torquay is very over rated ..... if you want a secluded private beach .... at reasonable prices ..... try Avalon Beach :D
If you haven't been there you wouldn't get the joke

That's your best wc so far. Well done.
Seems like you finally got a cloud free day that day. :p

Mate, it is as I remember it from 29 years ago, except that it was raining & grey & over cast every time I ever went there. :) (I think the boat on the left has moved a bit. ;) )
Did you go for a swim?
I did; frooze my flam'n earbones in the middle of summer. :(
I'll explain Sir Stinky's joke for you... (even though I haven't been to Avalon Beach)
There is an Airport at Avalon... 'nuff said?

Thanks craig for the encouragement. I did have a lot of kickbacks doing this one the paint crept under the masking fluid so I had to resort to some sgraffito.
Only had one dip that visit on a beach at Port Macquarie and then the weather changed and we came out of the water has a storm approached.

35 today, don't know about Torquay though, like you said the prices are pretty hot so it would probably never snow there.
I used to go through there once a month and thought it was overpriced, just trying to compete with Lorne I suppose, who were proposing a visitor tax:D :D
If you don't drive a BMW or Porsche you are not welcome.
The local bakery were charging $6.00 for a damned pastie.

They must have gone, we never saw either, or pehaps the road directions have been put up by the local ourist board to avoid the eyesore.
