Briggs and Stratton (Rover) recoil start spring

Does any body know how these b......ds assemble? I can't seem to get the spring and pull cord assembly procedure or sequence correct.It is really frustrating.I am sure it is just a procedure thing.I have googled the subject but can't find specifics on it.
Its not a matter of being cheap and refusing to take it to the mower man.It seems so simple and I shall not give in.

Grahame, I once spent an afternoon trying to re-assemble a small outboard starter thingy. Eventually did it, but never again.
