Hi
I got so impressed by the thread on the Bosch PBD40 and others, so that I decided to join this forum :)
My background is two bout building schools here in Sweden, and 5 years studying mechanical engineering at KTH university in Stockholm. After that I have been working 10 years in swedish medtech industry as an consultant, doing various implants, prosthetics, medical tools, tube kits and medical devices of all sorts.
Since 2020 I work as a freelance mechanical designer/inventor. Today I mainly do various consumer products for customers in Sweden and China.
I work mostly in Solidworks and Excel. Have my little workshop with 3D printers and some basic mechanical tools and a measurement station.
Lately I find great joy in woodworking, and I love having a moment with my hand planer and the smell of pine, producing rolls of shaving :throb:
My current projects is renovating my catamaran (glass fiber /epoxy project) and workshop modifications like ventilation and a roof mounted lift system on rails. I also doing some renovations to our old wooden house.
I like kiting and sailing, but I haven’t been on the water for a few years since the self employment got going (work is my vacation). Next summer here (June 2023) I will try to get back to these hobbies again.
Happy to be here and I hope I also can contribute with something useful for someone.
