Hi Woodies.
My name is Rob and I am based on the north west coast of Tasmania. I have been an active member of the north west woodcraft guild for about 20 years and run a home based woodcraft business. This is my first plunge into being a member of a forum although I have used them from time to time to glean helpful information.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Rob"....
There are quite a stack members in & around Tassie and across the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers crowie

Welcome to the forum Rob. What kind of products does your business produce?

Hi Treecycle.
Thanks for the welcome.
I produce a range of products from Tasmanian minor species timbers. My souvenir range includes smaller items including fridge magnets, coasters, rulers, key tags, bottle openers. I use a laser engraver to add designs relevant to the market.
I also produce a range of standard and custom products that are more of a gallery quality. These include boxes with veneer inlay images of animals and birds. Other boxes have engraved images. I also use a cnc to produce carvings for adding to boxes.
The custom orders I produce cover a wide range of different techniques from conventional joinery through to carving, turning and even handmade intarsia.
In time I will post some images after I have figured out how and where to do this.
Thanks for the interest.

Thanks for the comprehensive description of your works. Sounds like plenty of variety in your offerings and I look forward to seeing some of them when you get your head around how to post your photos. It's easy when you know how:?
