Hi All,
I’m a Project Manager living in Carnegie, Melbourne and just reading through forums to learn a bit. Ultimately I would like to make some nice toys and furniture for the soon to be born daughter.
Woodworking is in the genes, as both father and grandfather are handy woodworkers. Other interests are gardening and fishing. Have been an inactive member for a few months, but time to really dive in I think as it there looks to be a ton to learn here.
Thanks
Adrian

Welcome to the forum Adrian.
So have you got any kind of workshop space or tools already setup?
Cheers, Dom

Thanks Dom,
Have a chisel set, router (handhold, not set in a table) plus cordless drill set and pedestal drill. I also have general house maintenance tooling, an air compressor and luckily have access to a table saw and miter saw to get things going as well. The house has a double garage, so half is for the wife's car and the other half if space for projects/storage.
Got an old workbench that I am going to pull apart and rebuild to make it more solid and useful too. Have to start somewhere!

Haha, I started out relatively recently with a 2.5x garage, parking 2 cars. Then one car. Then no cars. Now building a second single garage for one car...maybe later no car ;)

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Adrian",
There are a stack of members in Melbourne & across Victoria plus the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie
