You may know this already....but couple of days I read where someone was gluing a small plastic prong to a flat piece of plastic. Now trying to glue those together is hard but he used 5 minute supaglu adding bi carb soda, letting that dry then repeating until there was a nice almost welded like rim around the prong, then yesterday I had to get a female plug reglued onto a flat plate the the guy did the same thing.... very smart idea.

Excuse my ignorance...... but what does the bicarb do?

sounds stupid but it helps build a 'shoulder type' thing around where you want to glue. Immagine... a bullet head nail standing on its head on a piece of timber and trying to glue together.... now if you were welding that the flux builds up a 'shoulder'/ring around the join. the bicarb does the same with glue.
Sounds weird but try it out

Thanks Tonto, I'll file that one away, bound to come in useful one day.
