If you freeze it from about the 32 second mark to the 40 second mark when the thimbles are raised you can you just see the bottoms of two peas in the other two thimbles?
My guess is a flexible cable with a magnet on the end inside the arms coming out two at a time to pick up the peas, when they retract back into the arm the peas fall off?
