G'day
I have just joined the forum. My name is Lockie Story from Mockinya in Victoria. I am a fire wood cutter by occupation and a turner by choice. This situation often leads to dilemmas ie "you cant burn that.....you cant burn that..... and so on. I am married with 2 lathes, 6 chain saws and three children. I found out about the forums at this years Horsham You Turn and have hence registered. As a wood cutter I have the privilage of being able to pick the eyes out of Redgum, Buloke and Box Wood. That being said I would like to try other timbers and I am always on the lookout for unwanted trees in the area. My other hobbies are writing,:U and restoring old Jaguars and Autocycles.

Well I guess that's me........

regards

Lockie

G'Day & Welcome Lockie.
You should be very well placed to get your timber for turning.
You'll find a heap of knowledgable & helpful blokes & ladies on the forum, all will to assist.
Don't forget that a picture is worth a thousand words, so show off your handiwork with photos & WIP notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie

Don't forget that the kids love handmade wooden toys......hint hint.....

PS - Firewood cutting must be good if you can afford restoring old jags???
