I've picked up a few new terms and sayings from my current work site so I thought I'd share them and see if y'all have any other pearls of wisdom from the working man...

- 250? You mean 2500. "Dressmakers use centimetres.";
- A spirit level is Neville Bartos (or just Neville);
- Packers (3mm thin masonite strips) are Kerrys;
- "That's what she said" is a response to just about anything;
- A hammer is a whackometer;
- "Spotty dog bow wow" or just "spotty" means something is accurate;

I'm sure there's heaps more but they fly through the air so thick and fast that I can't keep up with them all...or they're just not repeatable in public :U

"10 septic" means 10 inches. (Sometimes imperial's closer on a dual-std tape than any nice, round metric no.)

"It's a polly" (aka politician) means it's so crooked that itll need serious effort to get it to work. :roll:
