In FWW # 172, designCad 3D Max gets a pretty good wrap. I've tried finding an Australian retailer, but none of those listed on the distributor (IMSI's) website carry it. Has anyone had any luck, or bought it from the USA?

Alex - I've used Tucows before for other IMSI products and they've been good.
Heres the 3D site URLhttp://www.tucows.com/preview/313244.html

I bought it from the IMSI site. http://www.imsisoft.com/prodinfo.asp?t=1&mcid=190
I reckon its great value and works really well. The documentation is a little light on but there are a number of sites around that have tutorials for it.

I am also buying it from the IMSI site and expect to receive it in the next couple of days.
Grunt,
Are you saying that the Tutorial CD that IMSI also sells is light on? Or just the reference manual that comes with the program. I am getting both. I am a bit of a CAD junky, since I already have AutoSketch and TurboCAD Deluxe; I was defeated by the 3-D features of TurboCAD, so got DesignCAD in the hope that I would be able to master its 3-D features, since the FW article said it was easy to learn.

The help that comes with the program is a bit weak. I didn't get the tutorial cd. I had never learned a CAD program and I found it easy to learn. I just followed a few tutorials I found on the web.

Thanks for that info. I'll try Tucows or failing that, direct from IMSI.

I downloaded the 30 day trial, used it and liked it enough to pay for it.

Grunt, what version did you get? Tucows is advertising V12, but I think the latest is V15.
Glad to hear everybody's positive reports.
