Movember... who's doing it?

Hey all, there's still a few days to go and I haven't got the official green light onboard for the ship to run with it... but who else is taking part in Movember (http://au.movember.com/?home)?

I'm guessing most will be aware of the concept but for those who aren't its about raising awareness of mens health issues in particular Prostate Cancer and Depression (please have a look around the Movember site linked above).

If I get the green light onboard I have registered a team for HMAS NEWCASTLE and will be doing the beard thing until 26 Nov where I will be able to display a Mo for the weekend. Hopefully I will find out next week if the boss is onboard...

so... who else is in it?:)

Sorry no go. It means I would have to shave of my MO and beard and start all over again. Add to that the Co here would decide she has won the I don't Like you Beard or Mo So Get a Shave war. Its been running for at least 20 years..

Won't be growing any face hair but I always donate to the cause. Anybody else like me who isnt going to grow a mo or beard can still participate by emptying out their pockets and sponsoring somebody like Corbs and his mates.

Ok then, I got the green light from my XO (Exective Officer) onboard and the HMAS NEWCASTLE team is up and running. As of right now I'm the only team member but will be pushing people over the next few weeks so if you're not growing a mo and want to put some money towards a good cause please feel free to donate to me (Andrew Corbett) through the link in the original post.

It ain't a competition but a means of raising awareness of some serious mens health issues. So if you haven't been checked for prostate cancer please make an appointment and if you're feeling down let someone know. It's not a sign of weakness but an acknowledgment that things aren't great, I have lost a few friends who couldn't do either.
