I'm Tim and I live in Canberra. I used to do woodwork at high school and a bit more at home around that time, since my Dad had a pretty decent array of tools

I haven't really done anything in this area in the last 15 years or so, but I'm trying to get back into it again now. My main interest, to start with, is on small furniture-type items for the family. I'm currently making a small box/table with a drawer for use with a children's wooden train set - I'm finding that I'm remembering some of what I used to know, but the skills have all faded and it's like I'm a complete novice again. But I'm loving the advice and discussions on this forum - very useful and interesting.
